Well, it’s that time of year again… Time for Wal-Mart to be setting up their Valentine’s Day nonsense again. Selling heart shaped boxes of overly sweet chocolate covered cough syrup laden cherries (ugh…!) and other such nonsense.

I used to hate Valentine’s day. Seriously. I would walk around with a scowl on my face and degrade anyone who tried to tell me what they would do on that unholy day with their “significant other.” Of course, I was single. And I’m still single, but my dislike of the holiday is gone.
Why? Because I stepped out of my comfort zone, that’s why. Last Valentine’s day I actually asked a girl out on a date. Which she refused. Oh, she was nice about it and all but the more important thing was that I jumped out of that box of lies that said that I wasn’t good enough to date anybody.
I suspect that there are a lot of us out there. Nerds who tell themselves that attractive women don’t go for guys who look like them or like the things that they do. There’s a myriad of excuses why women don’t like us. And you know what? There are women who don’t like us for us, and that’s okay. The good news is that there are a lot more out there who do.
So why did that girl’s refusal to go out with me not send me spiraling into depression and self hatred? Because at that moment I realized that just because I didn’t have a date for the big V-Day (again), it didn’t change my worth of a person.
So for the past eleven months I’ve been searching for ways to be more attractive to women and I have found that it has very little to do with the way I dress (T-shirt and jeans, mostly), or my race (African-American), or my weight (285 pounds and dropping). It has to do with how confident I feel. And I’ve found that confidence and I want to bring out that confidence in my fellow otaku.
So for the next month, I’m going to be posting on how otaku can get a date by Valentines day. I’m going to document what I’ve done to meet women and what successes I’ve had and what you can do to duplicate them.
Also, I have a couple of downloads that have helped me immensely in my search for love that I’m willing to give you if you sign up for my newsletter either by filling out the form below or clicking here.
So get ready nerds. The next few weeks are going to be really intense ones but when we’re done, you’ll feel different towards V-day. I promise.
